Canvas API Token

Holon Outcomes reads your Canvas outcome rollups and student mastery data via the Canvas API. Generate a token in Canvas → Account → Settings → Approved Integrations.

Holon Outcomes surfaces the Canvas Outcomes data that the native Learning Mastery Gradebook buries in raw CSVs and opt-in settings. Features include mastery rate visualization, accreditation threshold benchmarks, and at-risk student identification.

Getting Started

Holon Outcomes reads your Canvas outcome rollups directly via the Canvas API and visualizes mastery rates, threshold compliance, and at-risk students — without requiring you to export CSVs.

Adding Your Token

Mastery Threshold

The threshold (default 80%) represents the accreditation standard: what percentage of assessed students must reach mastery points for an outcome to be considered "met." Adjust and click Apply to recalculate.

At-Risk Students

Students failing 2 or more outcomes are flagged as at-risk. The count reflects outcomes where the student's rollup score is below the mastery threshold set on each outcome.

Why is my outcome unassessed?

Canvas only records outcome rollup scores after an instructor grades a rubric containing that outcome. Outcomes with no scores are listed as "unassessed."
